_______

We are proud to honor Speaker Peréz for his unwavering commitment to making higher education more affordable in California. During the recent legislative session, the Speaker’s signature bill, the Middle Class Scholarship Act was passed as a part of the California budget, which slashes student fees at UC and CSU campuses by up to forty percent for California families making under $100,000 a year.

Additionally, we are proud to honor Senator Mitchell for her extensive dedication to public service and tireless efforts to help expand and improve the quality of life and services for all Californians.

Furthermore, we are also proud to honor Assemblymember Perea for his hard work to bring both clean water and extensive environmental reform to the Central Valley.

We are also proud to honor Executive Secretary-Treasurer Pulaski for his extensive service in the labor sector to help protect collective bargaining and workers’ rights for the thousands of employees he represents throughout California.

Lastly, we are proud to honor distinguished alumnus Mahood for his outstanding leadership as Vice President of Finance of the California College Democrats from 2010 to 2012.
